Courtenay Stevens has worked all over the place for the last fifteen or so years since graduating from Vancouver’s Studio 58.  He’s played with many Vancouver companies including Bard on the Beach, the Arts Club, Ruby Slippers, The Playhouse (RIP), Axis Mime and several seasons at the Caravan Farm Theatre.  He was an original cast member of the Overcoat with CanStage and toured the show across Canada, US, UK, Norway, New Zealand and Australia.

Courtenay performed at the Stratford Festival after spending time studying at their classical theatre conservatory. Other theatre credits include shows at the Sudbury Theatre Centre, Grand Theatre, Theatre Gargantua, Zero Gravity Circus, The Empty Room, Theatre Convergence; several shows with Theatre Columbus and the solo show Fact Check at the Toronto Fringe that garnered him ‘Pick of the Fringe’. He spent last summer performing in a circus in Munich and before that toured to more than 20 countries with Cirque du Soleil performing as a clown in Dralion. He has performed in three winter shows with Common Boots and is a key member of the company facilitating the weekly Devised Theatre Lab. This past fall he was also working as an Artistic Producer with the company thanks to a grant through Theatre Ontario’s Professional Theatre Training Program.
