Support Common Boots Theatre in making sure our entire community can share in the art we create.
This season, Common Boots Theatre is celebrating its 30th anniversary. With your financial contribution to this anniversary season we at Common Boots Theatre commit to investing your contribution where it matters most — in people.
Here is what your donation can do:
- $30 gifts help Common Boots Theatre provide reduced prices and free tickets to low-income members of our community.
- $300 gifts help Common Boots Theatres create ongoing training and mentorship programs for emerging and mid-career artists.
- $1000 gifts help Common Boots Theatre commission and develop new scripts. This year we are creating five new plays for the Canadian canon. In celebration of our 30th anniversary, we will publish selected works from the company’s repertoire since 1985.
This year alone our modest budget will support 50 theatre artists, technicians and producers. Their work will inspire another 150 volunteers (including choirs and Board members) and train 40 emerging artists. And most importantly, their work will entertain over 7,000 Canadians who will attend The Dog and The Angel, The Public Servant, the 30th Anniversary Party, the “Backyard Radio Plays,” and a collection of other special performances and readings throughout this 30th year.
Your contribution will create a legacy of cultural activity and stimulate local economic activity. We are a Keynesian economist’s dream — 99 per cent of our revenue is spent locally; 91 per cent is spent on people.
We look forward to seeing you at the Brick Works, at GCTC, at the Anniversary Party and beyond.
